To coincide the 700th Anniversary of the death of Venetian explorer Marco Polo, Paoletti Guitars hereby announce this two-year project, due for completion in 2024, celebrates and commemorates the epic voyage along the Silk Road through Asia of one of Italy’s most important historic figures.
In 1271 Marco Polo departed Venice and travel to China, where he was received to the court of Kublai Khan. His journey through Asia lasted three and a half years.
Paoletti Guitars commemorates the 700th anniversary of the death of Marco Polo (1254-1324) in the occasion of his historical journey.
The guitars, made out of centenarian Italian chestnut woods from reclaimed wine barrels (120 Year old woods), features authentic Venetian mother of pearl inlays, made of up to 2800 small pieces creating the final artwork, that re-creates the original miniature contained in the medieval code. A selection of only 10 Limited Edition will be individually handcrafted by Mr.Paoletti Fabrizio. Every guitar will also feature 24K real gold plated metal parts, certified and authentic.
Every Guitar will include a luxury glass display case and will be personally chaperoned to its owner by Paoletti Guitars members.
THE RELEASE & PRESENTATION EVENT
The project will culminate in a celebratory event hosted by Paoletti Guitars in May 2024 in Venice, in which every future owner of a Marco Polo will be invited to attend to be presented with their guitar.
